About The Furniture Doctors, North Idaho Furniture Repair Specialists

Dr. Paul is our founding co-owner and through the past 29 years has become a structural expert. His college coursework in engineering and architecture has provided him with the knowledge and ability to fabricate new pieces and provide structural stability wherever needed. He has become proficient in repairs of all kinds including re-gluing and re-veneering. Paul is well known throughout the Inland Northwest for his ability to repair adjustable beds and lift chairs, providing warranty work for several manufacturers. He also oversees our bookkeeping procedures. You may encounter him on the phone, through email, fax, or on pick-ups and deliveries.

Dr. Jackie is our other co-owner and actually started The Furniture Doctors in 1978. Her Masters Degree from the University of Idaho in Industrial Arts provided foundational knowledge in finishing technology. Jackie specializes in finishing procedures, cosmetic repairs, touch-up and custom color matching, often working with local interior designers. She also overseers our on-location crews. Jackie efficiently coordinates insurance claims and repairs from fire, flood, and moving damage.

Dr. Lisa grew up with The Furniture Doctors so it was not surprising that she joined her parents full time in 1998. She heads up our finish removal procedures. Lisa is a master crafts-woman in duplicating carving and the fabrication of missing pieces using an epoxy putty. She has become an expert in chair reglueing, structural repairs, touch-up, and finish application. Lisa has a clear understanding of the quality of work expected and the value of customer satisfaction.

We are often joined by a number of others that quite often answer the call when their services are needed to complete projects in a timely manner.

Although all of our doctors have their own areas of expertise we are always helping each other and acquiring training to provide the best service and achieve the desired outcome our customers have come to count on.
